The Baltimore Orioles announced Saturday that longtime owner Peter Angelos died at 94. The Angelos family thanks doctors, nurses, and caregivers who helped Mr. Angelos in his final years for understanding as they honor that request. Instead of flowers, you can send donations to charity. In 1993, Angelos led a group of investors to purchase his hometown Orioles for a then-record $173 million from Eli Jacobs, a successful trial attorney. As a proud native of Baltimore, Peter Angelos deeply appreciated owning the Baltimore Orioles, MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred said in a statement. "Peter's lifetime of philanthropy greatly benefited numerous worthy causes throughout his hometown. He championed the Orioles' historic 1999 series with the Cuban National Team. Peter ably served the game on our Labor Committee, and I will always remember his personal support when I was first elected to this role in his home city in 2014. "I extend my condolences to Peter's wife, Georgi

WELCOME TO LIFE LESSONS.

Image
Ever since I was young, I have always been a deep intellectual type of person. And when I get down in life, I always find strength in songs, quotes, articles, movies, etc. Because I learned at a early age that life is tough. And if you let it, the world will knock you down and break your spirit if you let. But quitting is never a option. That’s why you have to find that inner strength to not only stay the course, but also keep getting stronger and wiser. And never give up. Believe me, it always gets better in time. And now being a grown man that is a very big spiritual person, I also love to gain and share knowledge not just for myself, but others as well. And that’s why I started this forum. So I can try to help make this world a better place to live in for all of us. Plus I also enjoy hearing other people’s perspectives on life. You always hear something that makes you look at things in a different light.

To the memory of my parent  My Mother... Sea waves, golden sand, pilgrims’ faith, Rameswaram¹ Mosque Street, all merge into one, My Mother! You come to me like heaven’s caring arms. I remember the war days when life was challenge and toil— Miles to walk, hours before sunrise, Walking to take lessons from the saintly teacher near the temple. Again miles to the Arab teaching school, Climb sandy hills to Railway Station Road, Collect, distribute newspapers to temple city citizens, Few hours after sunrise, going to school. Evening, business time before study at night. All this pain of a young boy, My Mother you transformed into pious strength With kneeling and bowing five times For the Grace of the Almighty only, My Mother. Your strong piety is your children’s strength, You always shared your best with whoever needed the most, You always gave, and gave with faith in Him. I still remember the day when I was ten, Sleeping on your lap to the envy of my elder brothers and sisters It was fu

If monkeys could speak, what kind of relationship would humans have with them?

Image
If monkeys could speak, what kind of relationship would humans have with them? They would be our slaves and they would be everywhere, in all areas of society. There is zero doubt about it. If humans are capable of enslaving other humans and reducing them to the level of “inhuman animals,” imagine what we’d do to  actual  nonhuman animals that were capable of understanding complex commands. We already use animals intelligent as slaves in a wide variety of ways, up to their limit of capability.
