If monkeys could speak, what kind of relationship would humans have with them?

They would be our slaves and they would be everywhere, in all areas of society.

There is zero doubt about it.

If humans are capable of enslaving other humans and reducing them to the level of “inhuman animals,” imagine what we’d do to actual nonhuman animals that were capable of understanding complex commands.

We already use animals intelligent as slaves in a wide variety of ways, up to their limit of capability.
